The Centre for National Renaissance (CNR) plans to organize a conference on
EVMs: How Trustworthy?
on February 13, 2010, at Savera Hotel Chennai.

The Welcome Address will be delivered by Dr Subramanian Swamy (Ph.D. Harvard), Chairman, CNR, and former Union Minister of Law & Justice.

The conference will comprise three sessions. In the first session, the topic will be EVM Deployment: Current International Practice. To be chaired by Dr E.A.S. Sarma (Ph.D. IIT, Delhi, and former IAS officer), two papers will be presented in it by Dr P. Narasimha Rao (media advisor) and Dr Ulrich.

The second session, to be chaired by Mr Omesh Saigal (former Chief Secretary, Delhi Administration), will have the topic EVM Use: Evidence of Tamperability. Dr Anil Chawla (ex-IIT, Bombay) and Dr V.V. Rao will present their papers in the session.

The third and final session, with topic EVMs: Transparency and Safeguards, will be chaired by Prof M.D. Nalapat, Manipal University. Dr S. Kalyanaraman (formerly of ADB, Manila) and Dr Anupam Saraph (Chief Information Officer, Pune) will present their papers in this session.
